Team Vanderkitten Rides Clement

Clement is proud to announce the Vanderkitten Pro Cycling Team will race and train on Clement tires for the 2014 season.

Now in its 8th year, Vanderkitten is an innovative womens road team based in Berkeley, California, and includes 12 pros and 3 development riders. Vanderkitten’s mission is to inspire women to live healthy, active lifestyles through the promotion of athletes, personalities, and everyday women achieving extraordinary things.

The team will train on the Clement Strada LGG clincher and race on the newly released Strada LGG tubular, the first tubular road tire from Clement since the brand was resurrected in 2010. Inspired by historic tires like the Clement Criterium Seta, the LGG Strada provides a supple ride, lightweight construction, and traditional Clement chevron pattern for excellent grip.

Vanderkitten’s roster includes top-ranked U.S. cyclocross rider Elle Anderson, New Zealand National Team member Kate Chilcott, Australian standout Miranda Griffiths, and a veteran group of accomplished women.

Vanderkitten director Jono Coulter said, “Its great to know that whenever a race gets tense – hairy descents, rain, the final selection – our riders can put their utmost confidence in their tires. We’re thrilled that Clement is throwing their support behind women’s athletics.”

Having already started their season at Bay Crits in Australia, Vanderkitten will tackle the Vuelta El Salvador in early March before kickstarting the NRC season at the Redlands Bicycle Classic.
