But with the HD14 STAGE3, you get the best of both worlds, audiophile sound quality, and an extremely loud sound, so it’s no surprise it earned the top spot on our list.

We were blown away by this audiophile class amplifier and speaker combo. The quad-speakers deliver superb stereo imaging, which can be fine-tuned with a fader. So what’s so special about the Rokker XXR? Well for starters, they are the only 6.71” speakers that will fit in the standard 6.5” casing without modifications.

That extra size might not seem like much, but it gives a much fuller sound compared to the standard 6.5” speakers. They are surprisingly loud even at high speeds, and the sound quality is comparable to the similarly priced Rockford speakers.

They are a great choice for riders who want the best and the loudest sounding speakers on the market. Since the Rockford amplifier can be bought separately, going for the speaker upgrade first might be a good idea.

Installing these speakers is a breeze, as they fit perfectly in the Street Glide speaker housing. These full-range speakers are complemented by an extra loud 25mm dome tweeter. The loudness and sound quality are on point.

We’ve already talked about the subpar sound system that comes with the Street Glide. The OEM amplifier may support four-channel audio, but the power output is low and the sound quality is not that great.

If you can afford it, it’s recommended you go for a full upgrade kit. But if you are on a tight budget, going for an upgrade kit can be a good option if you only need more loudness and a tad better sound quality.

Maximum speaker output

Every speaker has a maximum output, which will determine how much power it can pull from the amplifier. The OEM amplifier can output only 300W of power, so it doesn’t make a lot of sense to go for a quad 150W speaker setup. If you don’t want to replace the OEM amplifier, we recommend you go for speakers that don’t exceed 100W.
